BACKGROUND OF THE NORMAL SCHOOL

The Ecole Normale Superieure Santiago de Tunja, before Normal School National Boys of Tunja, was created as Act 2, 1870. Taking advantage of the training that the Ministry of Education promoted in terms of restructuring of Normal, the Rector and faculty leaders resignificaron the proposal under the model: "Teaching Hermeneutics", a proposal which deserved the Accreditation After, through resolution 2044 of September 3 1999.



Once Upon the accreditation, a process of community awareness in front of the normal commitment to assume responsibility with the task of improving the institution in different ways, including the suggestions given by the National Council for Accreditation of Higher Normal School, CAENS .



Since the end of 1999, established the culture of Institutional Self and the development of an Improvement Plan in areas such as: Awareness, communication, Institutional Resources, Teachers' Collective, Community Design, Production Teaching, Education Projects, qualified staff, Curriculum, educational environment, Farm School, Handbook of Coexistence, School Parent, Research and Focus.



In 2001, appointed by the promoter of Projects, who guided the process of Institutional Self, taking into account the factors and related delivery of quality, where he saw the strengths, successes of the model "Teaching Hermeneutics" and progress towards EU Improving Educational Quality.
